Art in Nature Hike on AT at Bears Den Sign Up Available

   The Core -- Sign up is available for NAC of VA Sanctuary on the Trail™ Art in Nature™ Hike on the Appalachian Trail (AT). This is a a Native American led watercolor art class that teaches physical and spiritual aspects of seven elements of art (space, line, shape, color, value, texture and form) as students hike portions of the AT enjoying magnificent views of the Blue Ridge Mountain and Shenandoah River Valley. 
     All supplies are provided and artwork can be displayed at “The Gathering” a Native American inter-tribal harvest dance and Virginia gourd festival celebration at the Clarke County fairgrounds this fall.

Face Paining - From ancient times, it has been used for hunting, religious reasons, and military reasons (such as camouflage and to indicate membership in a military unit). Recent archaeological research shows that it is a reasonable assumption that humanity has painted faces and bodies since the very beginning.

Classes
     Classes are inspired by nature and Great Spirit, God, Heavenly Father, Creator of All. Classes are uniquely designed naturally for all four seasons and for all ages 0 – 120.
     Amateur. Professional. Novice. No experience is required. Art supplies are supplied free most of the time.
      Private classes are available by reservation only. She offers some private lessons and mentoring in: painting, printing, sculpting, carving, burning and photography.
     For private classes/tutoring, a larger donation may be needed, depending on the number of hours, materials and type of class taught.
